First off it's Remembrance Day or Veterans Day  today (depending upon your location),

I spent the first part of my morning thinking about one uncle who stormed Juno Beach on the Nan Green sector at Courseulles. I knew nothing of my uncles war history save for a case on the mantle with a handful of medals and a photograph of the Regina Rifles (his regiment) until the eulogy at his funeral, so this morning I reflected on his life that I knew, his appreciation for the simple things, his love of gardening and family.
